Market Update

After a long few weeks of crazy high prices due to weather conditions, prices are finally coming back to normal except for a few items.

Lettuce prices continue to fall as weather gets better in the Arizona area.
Green pepper market looking good, Florida is finally keeping up with demand.
All items coming out of Florida are lower weather is great except for tomatoes

Tomato market is still short but is looking better as more farmers are harvesting and selling to local markets. Florida does still have a monopoly on 5*6 tomoatoes and do have the best quality for now.
Plum tomatoes have been a substitute for these high prices bouncing around the $20 range.

Zucchini market is crazy short have not gotten a reason behind this same with pineapple.

Romaine and romaine hearts are at a great price with excellent quality no problems so far.

Egg prices came crashing down not a high demand at the moment.
Salted and unsalted butter prices down not a high demand at the moment

Jalapeno market came down a few dollars today, best value is bushel size

Spanish onion market on the rise new harvest season

Baby spinach, spring mix, arcadian mix, and popeye spinach went up a few dollars weather related quality is not the best

Will keep updated if anything changes

Market update

Tomato market has struggled as Florida becomes the only supplier do to Mexico not sending anything over the boarder. Tomatoes will be over $50 on Monday. Prices won’t come down till end of February when more farmers harvest their crops.

lettuce prices back on the rise do to bad weather in the Yuma area. Romaine hearts continue to stay low in the $20 range.

Green pepper market making its way up again only coming from Florida they currently have a monopoly.

Plum tomatoes will be in the $40 range a few dollars cheaper than 5*6. Number 2 tomatoes are very limited, won’t know how many till Monday morning when truck arrives.

Prices on cucumbers maybe affected, there wasn’t any in the market this morning.

will keep everyone updated when I receive new info on where tomatoes are going.
