Nothing much Changing few updates Lettuce market will be lower next week, romaine will continue to be the same. Yuma Arizona crops come to an end next month may affect prices on these items along with all greens. Plum tomatoes on the rise almost passing $50 a case. Florida struggling to keep up. Avocados climbing in price maybe above $70 a case next week if none come over the boarder. All chines products try to stay away from, no alert from government saying to stop using. Best to use either California garlic or Brazilian to play it safe. Best deal in market is brussel sprouts can get them for below $20 case. Bushel zucchini is back and can save you a few dollars per pound. Spanish onions quality is not the best until new crop begins, has yet to be harvested. will switch as soon as its available. Will keep everyone updated if anything changes

Freight prices rising could affect market prices Lettuce market on the rise will be up a few $$ next week do to increase in freight prices. quality is good. Yuma has had weather problems experiencing cold weather, some days not reaching 60 degrees. prices were down for sometime due to lack of demand. T&A lettuce does look the best Romaine and Romaine hearts steady on price should stay the same low prices going into next week. Tomato market going back up again (5*6/6*6) Cheaper alternative is Mexican but they do cut watery no the best for sandwiches. Plum tomatoes went way up today over the $30 mark still waiting on feedback why maybe due to weather in Florida. Cauliflower slowly going up do to the weather in Yuma, will come back down when weather is consistently over 60 degrees Green peppers going up slightly due to higher demand. Red peppers are now coming from Mexico Dairy products all the same except for eggs as they almost doubled in price, no news on reason why Zucchini way down as farmers reach the supply needed. bushels are the best for your money. Jalapenos are a lot cheaper per lb when ordered bushel size. Will have more info on future lettuce and tomato prices Monday morning, Thank you and have a great weekend |
