Saturday July 27th

Market update

Lot happening this week in the market 

Mexican avocados now being brought back, but did not decrease in price. No shortage

Lettuce has come way down in price should be in mid $20 range

Romaine hearts will be way down next week look great

Cilantro along with a few other products from new jersey stopped shipments to Boston due to bad weather conditions with the heat and rain killing everything
Cilantro will be higher until weather gets better

Frisee did not look good all week due to the heat killing it turning it black

Green peppers took a big turn over night on Thursday increasing the price almost double
cheapest kind is field run green peppers from new jersey all different sizes in case

Red pepper bushel was down next week are a bit smaller in size

Strawberries along with a few other berries have come down in price to its original price

Corn has come way down in price due to the quality of the size of the corn.

Jalapenos up no sign of when coming down

Green zucchini fancy does carry a disease will stay away and use medium 

Canadian cucumbers have begun and are cheaper on selects

Will give an update monday afternoon on what changes occur

Friday July 19th

Market update

Mexican avocados arrived today, none will be ripe for a week. Prices will come way down in the coming weeks as more shipments arrive.

Spanish onions still high, wont come down till mid September when new crop begins.

All potatoes still ridiculously high, not sure when prices will fall back to normal.

Iceberg lettuce beginning to come down as many different brands come into the market, along with a lot of Canadian brands.

Dairy products came down slightly this week. Eggs are now Extremely cheap

Cotton candy grapes are in and delicious. Sightly cheaper that last year

Cherries are in and look great

Signs of red peppers coming down could happen next week. Green peppers still climbing 

No signs of items going up next week should come down in the coming weeks

Tuesday July 16th

Market update

Avocado truck from mexico was missed today wont arrive till tomorrow. price should be lower
Only peru available today

Romaine and lettuce on the rise again as shortage continues. canadian rising as well

Spanish onions took another rise today

All mixed lettuces went up slightly, may continue

Cut carrots and shredded carrot way up, still no news on why, guess is not alot around

All spices are back in stock 

Best deal in the market is cauliflower, is cheap and looks good

strawberries still high along with other berries

Pineapples up, cheapest size is 6ct

Saturday July 13th

Market update

  Mexican avocados will be available Monday, will be a limited amount.

Spanish onions on the rise again as shortage continues. will see over $30 a case 

Strawberries on the rise

All peppers remain the same, will continue to stay low throughout the next week except for (red) peppers

Red potatoes way up on price, major shortage hitting all new highs. no news on when it will come down.

Grape tomatoes way up as change in crop. will see over $20 next week a case

Iceberg lettuce and romaine still high for California brands. Canadian does look great 

Tomatoes on the rise again Quality is OK

Future news- Avocados will come down in a few weeks when mexico begins harvesting its new crops and will begin to meet USA demand

Friday July 12th

Today's market update 

Avocado market is still weak with little to no Mexican avocados available. The shortage will continue going into next week. 

Peru avocados still available with limited quantity at a reasonable price compared to Mexican avocados
Will see avocado prices drop in a few weeks as Mexico begins to harvest its larger crops

Lettuce and romaine heart continue to stay the same with no signs of going up or down. 

Canada cucumbers arrive, but not as cheap as last year

Tomato quality has gone down as prices rise slightly 

Local spring mix not available

Canadian scallions begin look great same price as California

Below you will see a few local items. in addition there is cauliflower and rhubarb

Monday June 1st

Market update for monday
spanish onions hit new high passing $30+ as shortage continues

chef Potatoes up a few as new crop begins

all number 2 tomatoes will be $9 this week, look good

strawberries went up a few in price, local strawberries are more

Red peppers hit new high, could pass $50+ for bushel

zucchini is up slightly, no bushel available till later in week

All spices are limited availability till july 5, new shipment arrives

Eggs and other dairy are rising slightly

Green peppers still low could raise by end of week

Canadian romaine hearts not available till Thursday new shipment arriving 

Canadian lettuce still available does look better than California

Tomatoes predicting they may come down in the next coming week as tariffs did not go through

No local spring mix available, will keep you updated on when arrived
